Frog Meadow’s 750-gallon wood-fired hot tub is one of the most beloved features of the property — a deep, cedar-scented soak heated to a blissful 102–104 degrees. Crafted from aromatic white cedar from Maine and warmed by hardwood logs from our own forest, it’s a soothing blend of nature and ritual.
The tub’s eco-friendly wood stove fills the air with a subtle campfire aroma — a comforting note that often greets guests as they arrive. There are no jets, no motors, and no distractions. Just warm, tranquil water and the peaceful sounds of Vermont around you. At 48 inches deep, you can sit comfortably upright, allowing your whole body to soften and release.
Whether you’ve spent the day hiking, exploring Rock River, receiving a massage, hitting the gym, or simply savoring time outdoors, the hot tub is a restorative way to ease muscle tension, unwind, and reconnect with yourself. Many guests love a soak right before bed to melt into deep sleep, while others begin their mornings “taking the waters” with a cup of coffee and the sunrise.
Located on the west side of the Main House, the hot tub is surrounded by native stonework, lush perennial gardens, and golden late-day sunlight. Nearby, the hospitality cabana provides fresh towels, barware, and a community fridge for guest beverages and snacks.
As evening settles in, the patio around the hot tub naturally becomes a gathering place — a warm, casual spot where guests enjoy a drink, share stories, and ease into the night together or before heading out for dinner.
Beside the hot tub, you’ll find a handmade outdoor shower crafted from copper, offering both hot and cold water and an oversized shower head perfect for rinsing before or after your soak. It’s stocked with Frog Meadow’s signature all-natural soaps, shampoos, and moisturizing bodycare products for you to enjoy.
The hot tub is open year-round, from 7am to 11pm — a soothing, welcoming oasis in every season.
